a very simple Christmas...

I've left all 20 of my Christmas bins in the closet and kept it simple this year...

 lots of greenery...

 with touches of red...

I'm sure I will be adding more touches here and there...as I get inspired from Pinterest & blogland...

...tonight we shall trim our quirky, gangly tree.

On another note... I will finally be opening an Etsy store in the New Year, so stay tuned for that.

Wishing you a safe and joyous Holiday Season...

start the car....

I found the most amazing vintage linens at a garage sale...
they were mixed in with other random polyester uglies...
and I spied them from across the room
I've never found linens like this in my area...
to say I was excited is a major understatement
                                                                              ...and they were incredibly cheap!
 four beautful large pillowcases...
 all with detailed hand embroidery...
some bright white cotton... others a lovely creamy linen
 five large, perfect tablecloths...
embroidered cotton lace trim... bright red stitched initials

beautiful slubby linen waiting for new projects...
 thick & sturdy tea towels...

I LOVE vintage linens...the raw texture...
the washing, ironing, folding and admiring them...
                                                                                            they make me smile

now if only my initials were AR...
